Legendary duo Stormin Norman & Suzy (Norm Zamcheck/Suzy Williams) started in Boston as a pianist/songwriter and a blues belter somewhere in the mid 70’s. They played saloons all over New England, subsequently morphing into a 6 piece band. Their act contained lots of boogie boogie, lots of original music, a little vaudeville -including a reverse striptease premiered before a thousand cadets at West Point.
In time they became famous and attracted throngs on 15th Street when the New York Times called them “The HOTTEST CABARET ACT IN NEW YORK.” Then to Carnegie Hall & major venues everywhere. From that came a major record deal, rave reviews in Rolling Stone, Cosmopolitan, TV. They got to hobnob with big stars, ride their own limousine with its own bar down Sunset Strip in LA and preen with Dick Clarke. They starred in their own comedy musical “Cinderella Street.”
In the mid eighties Suzy headed with her husband to California, her home state and Norman stayed in New York. They continue to give concerts as a duo in Los Angeles, Boston, even Iowa, in an endless “50th Anniversary” tour.
